Lizzie Anne Designs Giveaway

You HAVE to head over to Craft Critique to see what Lizzie Anne has cooked up for day four of CHA!!! It's an awesome deal, and definitely worth a look :)

ISS is Blog Hoppin'!

We are blog hopping today at InStyle Stamps! Can you believe it is the last Friday in July? Where oh where is the time going??

This month's theme is fairy tales and fantasies. My image is the sweetest little Baby Fairy image, sound asleep on a Lily pad. I chose my dp from the Fairy Tale DCWV pack - I hope the picture shows the sparkles on the paper!

I colored my image with Copic markers and for added pizzaz I used an Atyou Spica glitter pen on some parts.

My adorable bling came from Pez-A-Doodle Designs - you have to check them out! They are called Pez-a-Blings, and I cannot get enough of them!

FlutterBy Wednesday (a day late)

Howdy everyone! I had such a bad headache yesterday, I didn't get my Flutterby Wednesday card posted. Sorry!

Our challenge this week was to make a card using no dp. Yikes! I love dp :) This is what I came up with. My color combo is Almost Amethyst, Cool Caribbean, and Barely Banana. Unusual, I know - but I was in the mood ;)

To jazz it up, I cuttlebugged the Cool Caribbean layer. I sponged the Barely Banana layer, and added silver dew drops and dots. I finished the card off with some ribbon. I kinda like it!

Chatty Steph

Good morning everyone! It's Method Monday over at InStyle Stamps, and today we are talking about embellishments! The card above is version one which is embellishment free. It looks cute, and the digi paper from InStyle Stamps helps give it some pizzaz. But what happens when you jazz it up a bit?

See the difference a few embellishments can make? And it only takes a few minutes to add some fun! On my second version I used a white gel pen to add some dots above and below my image panel, and added four primas. The primas have purple stickles in the middle of them. I also used a Sakura glitter pen to give Steph some blingy earrings, and to add a bit of bling to the phone.

Cards are much more fun with embellis! So let's see your before and after cards!

Sneak Peeks Day 3!!

Good Morning! Thus far today, I only have one sample to show you, from the new Love and Joy set. Another set is also being previewed today, Oh Christmas Tree, but I haven't had time to get my sample up yet :)

This Lizzie Anne Bazzill Paper is paired with the Winter Wonderland pack of Pretty Papers from Lizzie Anne Designs. I also used the Heaven and Nature set to stamp my flower. I tried to keep the card simple, so the label would really stand out.

Hopefully I'll be back soon with another sample to show you :)

Be sure to stop by the Lizzie Anne Designs blog to check out the full sets, and see what the other talented members of the Design Team created!

Lizzie Anne Sneak Peeks Day Two!

I love the excitement of sneak peeks!!! Today I have two more samples to show you!

The first one is from the new set Bloomin' Doodles, and it not only uses the set but the matching new digi paper as well!!

The card base, the polka dotted mat, and the blue nestie are all from the digi paper. I stamped my flowers in groovy guava and punched them out with a 1" punch.

The sentiment is from the LAD set Everyday Sayings.

The second picture, on the right, is a candle made with a stamp from the new Hallow's Eve set! I *love* this spooky tree, backed by the moon! I cannot remember where I got the ribbon, but I just thought it was perfect for this candle!

Be sure to go over to the Lizzie Anne Designs Blog to check out the full sets, and to see what the other girls are making!

Lizzie Anne Designs Sneak Peeks, Day One

Are you excited? I sure am!! I love sneak peek time at LAD!!

The first set I have to show you is from the new set called Cute as a Bug. I made these glass coasters for my sister-in-law, who always call her daughter bug (in an affectionate way, lol). I really like this set - it s darling!

To check out the whole sets, go here and see them!

The second set I'm showing you has matching Digi paper to go with it. It's called The Great Outdoors, and I think it is super darling! The panel that is stamped with the s'mores on a stick is one piece of the digi paper - I colored the marshmallows with a white gel pen. The next panel is another one of the digi papers - isn't it too cute!?!I popped the s'mores up on dimensionals after coloring them with Copic markers. And I added Liquid Applique to the marshmallow part- irl they are so fun!

Be sure to head over to the other DT girls sites to check out what they've created!! Links are in my left sidebar. On the Lizzie Anne Designs blog there are more super cute samples using these sets! I hope you've enjoyed Sneak Peek Day One - be sure and come back tomorrow for sneak peeks day two! More fun stamps to show you!!

Flutter By Wednesday!

This week Heather challenged us to make a scene card, with no dp.

Mine is pretty simple - just the grass and sky! I used the Butterfly of Happiness set from Stampin Up for my butterfly, flowers, and sentiment.

On my butterfly, I went over it with a sparkly gel pen - it is hard to tell in the pic, I think. I used Old Olive and Baja Breeze, with Pretty in Pink for my accent colors.

What do you think?

Don't forget to scroll down to this post, for a chance for some blog candy!

Queen Kat Blog Candy!

Good Morning! It's a dreary Tuesday here at my house - just like I like it. Hopefully we'll get some more rain today!

I made this card with stamps from Queen Kat Designs. The sentiment is from their newly released Mom Words, and the bird is also a newly released Rocker Bird!

I stamped them both in Brilliance Rocket Red Gold. I covered the bird in glitter - I've never used glitter on a card before!

And now for the candy bit. Leave me a comment by Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 6:00 pm EST and I'll pick a random commenter to win a stamp of their choosing from QKD!!
Don't forget that tomorrow the QKD girls are blog hopping, so start out at the QKD blog to see their awesome creations!

Scandinavian Tree

This is the card I made for today's Color Monday challenge over at Christian Papercrafts Community. It was to use traditional Christmas colors to create a Christmas Card in July!

I stretched the color restrictions just a bit, lol - but its still red and green! I used white craft ink to faux emboss my stamps -- Scandinavian Season from SU -- that I've had forever and never busted out!

I have this goal every year to create a pile of Christmas cards that don't need extra postage to mail, because I have a huge card list. This is one of those cards, and I think I'll be reproducing it!

Evidence of a Problem....

This is evidence of a serious problem. These alone constitute my Lizzie Anne Designs stamps. We are not talking about Inkas (rubber and acrylic), Sweet 'n Sassy, ODBD, SU, Little Paper Shop, Memory Box, Imaginisce, Studio G, QKD, Pez-a-Doodle, The Greeting Farm...the list goes on!

Hello, my name is Taylor, and I am addicted to stamps.

Jane Can DO Some Laundry!

Ok, let me start off by apologizing for the lateness of this post - it should have been here Thursday, and I dropped the ball. I'm really sorry about that!

Because the theme for these fun Thursday posts is "thankful", I chose this stamp, Jane, to celebrate my new washer and dryer - which I am beyond thankful for!!!!I still don't look that cheerful doing laundry, nor am I that well dressed, but I am appreciative just the same!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and thanks again for your patience!

Locks of Love

If you've seen a picture of me, you know I have short hair. Really short hair. But a few weeks ago I decided I'd grow it out - because I love that about hair. It always comes back, and is a fun thing to play with. Then I remembered the charity Locks of Love, and that for those children, it doesn't just grow back.

So I decided that even though it will take forever, I'm not going to cut my hair until I have enough to cut for them. No more dyeing, no scissors, no nothing. Well, scissors until my short hair all reaches one length, but after that I'm gonna let it grow, baby. Every little thing I can do to help is what I'm going to do!

Happiness

I love this paper so darn much, I wanted to keep my card simple and leave the focus on the paper. It's another piece from my newly acquired Garden Party pack by DCWV -- Danni said she debated about buying it - girl, go get it!!

Today's Flutter By challenge was to use pink and brown. One of my favorite color combos! In the bottom right corner, I have two pieces of grungeboard, which I purchased at Pez-a-Doodle Designs. The bottom one is inked with Frayed Burlap (also purchased there), and the top on is embossed using Tim Holtz Distress Powder in Worn Lipstick - I LOVE the Tim Holtz embossing powders! They look so cool! I got all of my Tim Holtz stuff at Pez-A-Doodle Designs -- she has an amazing selection of stuff.

Across the middle I took my pink paper, cut it into a strip, and stamped the word "happiness" on it. The word is from the Just Words set at Lizzie Anne Designs. It's one of my all time favorites!

QKD is Hoppin'!

Good Morning everyone! This week at QKD we were given a color combination to work with - red, orange, lime, and yellow. Whoa! I thought I would never get all of these on a card!

Then I ran across this dp from Me & My Big Ideas. Perfect! I used a white base, the matching red to the dp, and a white image panel. After I stamped my sentiment, I added primas in bold colors to the corners, with orange stickles in the center.

I like the way it turned out - very bright and cheerful! To see the rest of the gals, head back to the QKD blog, where it all started.

Sasha at a Garden Party!

The other day at Hobby Lobby I picked up a huge set of DCWV dp called Garden Party. It is gorgeous! Most of the sheets have glittery patterns on them, and fresh colors - I love it. Best part? It was on sale for $12!!!

So, meet Sasha. She is attending today's Garden Party in a fabulous coral colored party dress, her hair all spiffed up, an adorable tote bag, and some super cool glittery silver earrings!

Sasha didn't want to take away from the gorgeous paper, that's why she's in the corner down there. She's been paper pierced around the edges, and is backed by a strip of light pink and coral paper (dotted with a white gel pen). If you click on the picture, you 'll be able to see the paper and Sasha much better).

Doesn't she look like she is the best time!?!? I'd love to go to a Garden Party - except the humidity and heat would be the end of me, lol!!

Lizzie Anne Celebration!

This is the Tea Time set, and I just love everything about it! You can mix and match the tea pots, the cups are adorable, and if you leave the handles off the pots, they can double a cookie jars! The sentiments are so sweet, too! I made this card for a really good friend in California, who is always there for me :). It's going in a care package for her!

The most super exciting thing about this set is that today, at Lizzie Anne Designs, it is 40% off!!! The DT all got to pick a set to feature, and on their blog day, it's on sale :) So if you don't have it yet, today is the day!!!

You can check all of the Lizzie Anne happenings for their 3rd birthday celebration at the Lizzie Anne Land site. Exciting things are happening over there!

It's Friday!

I'm so glad it is Friday! This week has taken forever, it seems like, lol! Today I made a very simple card to show y'all :)

I used the set Geisha Girls #3. I stamped it in Memento London Fog Ink (available at Pez-a-Doodle Designs), to coordinate with the Gray background. I used my Nesties to cut out the circles she is on, and my Cuttlebug to add texture to the Blue background. I colored her using Copic Markers. In the top corner, I added some skittles from Pez-a-Doodle Designs -- you really have to get some of these!

Don't forget that at the QKD store right now we're having a huge sale! 25% off ALL QKD stamps, and 50% off ALL clearance items! WOW! Now is definitely the time to get some stamps!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Craft Critique Article

I have an article about Marks Paper Company on Craft Critique today! Go check them out!

My First Flutter By Wednesday!!!

It's my very first Wednesday with the Flutter By team, and I am sooooo excited! My sketch is based very loosely on Sketch 63 from Patter Cross's Triple the Sketch blog - but remember I said very loosely, lol!

My card base is Purely Pomegranate, and my main layer is Gable Green. I sanded it with a sanding block, to give it a nice texture, then stamped off the Sanded background once before stamping it on there.

Next I added my three panels of dp, and I have forgotten what kind it is! I put white dots around the edges with my gel pen. I used grungeboard letters and butterflies last - they are all painted with Hottie Pink Shimmerz Blingz.

This week's challenge was to use ribbons and buttons. So I added a square peralescent white button, and a pink ribbon edged in green to finish it off. What do you think?

I got my grungeboard at Pez-A-Doodle Designs - she has an excellent selection over there! You should check it out - you can even get it by the sheet!

It's Twinkling Tuesday!

Have you heard the news? I'm have returned to the Twinkling Tuesday Team! *YAY* These girls are so much fun, and so are the sketches and inspiration everyone comes up with!

Today's guest designer is Jack Diedrich, Madelynn's brother. He drew a whopper of a sketch, and it kind of stumped me. I had to simplify my card a bit, lol.

My card base is Cranberry Crisp, and my next layer is Really Rust. My dp is by Prima. I stamped my flowers from SNSS in Cranberry Crisp, and my sentiment from SU in Really Rust.

At the bottom of the card, I punched large hole and faux stitched with a gold gel pen. I added some dark cranberry ribbon to the dp panel, and left it alone. It isn't quite as intricate as Jack's sketch, but I like it! So thanks for the inspiration Jack!

Be sure to stop by Madelynn's blog to see the featured stamper for this week. And on the left hand sidebar of my blog are links to all of the other super talented ladies who play along as well - so be sure to check them out!

If you play along with us and upload to SCS or PCP, please be sure to use the keyword MTTSC30, so we can sprinkle some love. Or, you could just link your pic back here, in the comment section!

Fabulous Fridays

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a fabulous start to what is probably a three day weekend for most of you! *Yay*

I made this card using the newly released Rocker Bird - isn't it adorable??? My dp is Memory Box, and I just love it. I stamped the bird in Brilliance Rocket Red Gold, so he has an awesome sheen to him. In the corner, I used Daisy D's rubons, and in the bottom corner I used some pink Dew Drops. I put a little Prima with a glittery silver brad on his tail. My sentiment is also from QKD, it's called the You're My...set. Since ALL the stamps in the store are 25% off, you can get them at a GREAT price!!!

While we are talking deals, everything in the clearance section is 50% off - wowza!

Have a fabulous weekend, and Happy 4th of July to those of you who celebrate it!!!

A Call to Serve: The Butterfly Project

Please check out all the details of this wonderful project at Craft Critique. Please, go read what they have to say. It will inspire you!

Groovy Psalm

I borrowed this sketch from my friend Jessica Diedrich, over at the Whimsical Butterfly. She is an amazing stamper, and I am blessed to call her my friend! She sent me a card a while ago, and it remains one of my favorite cards I've ever gotten!

I used it today for the Thursday Bible Verse Challenge over at Christian Papercrafts Community. My challenge was to find a Psalm that is soothing and make a card/altered item/scrapbook layout using that verse. It could be a stamp or a computer generated verse.

I used a stamp from the Scripture Collection 2 at Our Daily Bread Designs, and my small cross is from CowTown Stamps.

QKD is Blog Hoppin' For New Release Day!

Can you see it? It's right there in the bottom right corner - a brand new sentiment from QKD!!! This new set has 5 new sayings, all about moms - and it is terrific! I used an older tree from one of QKD's kits as my focal image, and I paper pierced under the I Love You, Mom sentiment (and then highlighted those with a silver gel pen).

Be sure and check out all of the new releases - they are on sale at the store the 1st - the 7th for 30% off!! What a steal!!!

If you've hopped here from Kelly's blog - welcome! Next you should go to Jen's blog to see what goodness she has cooked up! And be sure to start back at the beginning - the QKD blog, to hit everyone along the way!

Here is what the whole set looks like:

Antique Church - PDD Wednesday!

This is another one of CowTown's awesome stamps - Church, front view. I stamped it in Versamark ink, and embossed it with antique linen powder (available at Pez-a-Doodle Designs). I also embossed my chipboard swirl the same way.

For my sponging, I used antique linen distress ink, to keep with the vintage look. I added some flowers and a couple pieces of ribbon, and considered this one done.

I cannot say enough about the distress embossing powders - they are so cool! The texture is still grainy, and it really looks weathered. If you don't have any - get some! The colors coordinate with all of the Tim Holtz inks - Just check out Pez-a-Doodle Designs - she has a great selection!

As Unique as a Seashell

Today's InStyle stamps challenge was to incorporate paper piercing on our card. So I used the sketch from The Sweet Shop and CPC to create an orange wonderland for Ariel, lol

My card base is Really Rust, and then I Cuttlebugged a layer of Barely Banana. I layered some Basic Grey Offbeat dp for my two strips. I used a nestie to cut out Ariel and colored her with Copics and a white gel pen. My sentiment is from Lizzie Anne Designs. I found the little fishie in a summertime/beach theme pack at Hobby Lobby!
