It's finally the weekend, and officially spring break for my daughter. And what do we start out with but a cool, dreary, rainy day. I'm actually thrilled because she is still sleeping. It's 8:00, and that is unheard of for her. I'm sure it is because her room is dark and quiet - those are the best mornings to just stay in bed.
I made this card earlier this week for two challenges. Over at the
Pixie Dust Studio Challenge Blog, the challenge this week was to "Say it Out Loud" and use a sentiment on your card. And I combined that with as many items from the new
Desert Island Crafter's Challenge that I could! Here's what I got on there from the Queen's Itinerary: Fairytale, Ribbon, Crown Jewels, Horse and Carriage (well, I got the carriage), Prince Charming, and Princess Bride. 6 out of 10 - not bad!
My image is from Pixie Dust Studio, and it's really half an image from the
British Invasion collection. i took the Royal Wedding image (which would have worked fine for this challenge at the DICC) and cut out the Prince. I opted instead for adding a bit of patterned paper that had the words Prince Charming on it and make this card all about the Princess Bride!
