Tea Time

It's time for the last Sweet Peek from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, and I could not be more thrilled about this set. I totally think Korin saved the best for last with this one! It's called Tea Time, and it is full of gorgeous images and sweet sayings. For my fun peek, I made a Gatefold Crescent Card (in Bazzill Classic Smooth) from Creative Cuts & More. I love that the whole card comes cut and scored - I just had to make it my own!

Inside, I stamped the large sentiment, two small flowers, and used the "steam" as swirls on either side.
On the outside of the card, I added an Antique Label (in Neenah Smooth), sponged the edges, and stamped the teapot on patterned paper. I love the fun pattern paired with the Kraft! The band just slides off, and the card opens up. My husband is fascinated, lol!

Head over to the Sweet 'n Sassy blog today to see some other fabulous projects using my new favorite set! And you'll be seeing more projects from me using this set very, very soon!

Tiny Yawns

Today's Sweet Peek set over at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is called Tiny Yawns, and I think it is over-the-moon adorable (tee-hee)! I made this card for a friend, who is happily expecting a baby. And since she doesn't know (or maybe she does know and just hasn't spilled the beans) the baby's gender, I needed to make a gender neutral congrats card!

I kept it super simple to keep all the focus on the adorable kidlet asleep on the moon. Isn't the accompanying sentiment precious? Head over to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps blog to see all of the great samples the divas created for this fun Sweet Peek!

Crafty Time With My Girlie

There was no school today, due to power outages from these terrible storms we've been having. So I scrapped my morning plans and had crafty time with my sweet girl instead. She opted to play along with the Skipping Stones Design Sketch Challenge for this week - how fun! She and I each made a card for the challenge. Both cards use the Healing Wings set I won a few weeks ago. What's better than butterflies? While I worked on mine, using some Basic Grey paper from my stash and some vellum I forgot I had, she was hard at work on hers! You'll see it in the post below - she wanted to enter it in the challenge too, so it needs its very own post for that. I'm so proud of how brave she is!

Crafty Time With My Girlie Part 2

Here is her card for the challenge - you can see mine in the first post about our morning. I couldn't be prouder of her for being brave enough to want to enter her card in the challenge - she's so thrilled with herself!

She chose all of her papers and colors, and did all the cutting (except the butterfly) all by herself. She dug through the Martha Stewart punch stash until she picked the "perfect touch" for her card, lol. And she added the Stickles when she was done. She spent forever digging through my ribbon stash and looking through the options for adding sparkle to her card. SO cute! Now she's trying to decide who to send it to :) What a sweet girl I have. I so enjoyed our crafty morning, even if I haven't done one single thing on today's to-do list!

Hello Hugs

It's DT Inspiration day over at Claudia and Company! I'm writing this post way ahead of time, so please forgive my lack of details. I'll add more when I get back to the computer! I used the Charlotte digi image, paired with some fabulous Hello Sunshine paper. I trimmed the triangular piece along the brown lines, to make it wavy like it is on the paper. I finished it off with some brown ribbon and a So Random Sentiment (all products available in the store).

Be sure to head over to the Claudia and Company blog to see what the other designers came up with today - you'll love all the eye candy!

Mother's Day Plaid

In my quest to get ahead on Mother's Day cards, I made this CAS one in like 15 minutes this weekend! I used Timeless Textures from Lizzie Anne Designs to create the plaid background piece, and used their Mother's Day single for the sentiment. A bit of dark brown to set them off, a small pink flower, and done! I love it when I can be as quick as I promise hubby I will be, lol :) Usually I say "5 more minutes" and an hour later I'm still crafting. He is never a fan of that. But this time, thanks to my stamp-a-ma-jig, I really meant it. Yay!

The Cat's Meow

Today I'm sharing a cute card I made with this adorable Purfect Friend digi stamp from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps! I hand-stitched the two contrasting papers to the larger background paper, and highlighted the little kitty with pink ink.  Because the papers were so busy, I just added a bit of white ribbon and left it alone.

I hope you have a beautiful day. Thank for stopping by!

Fit for a Princess

It's finally the weekend, and officially spring break for my daughter. And what do we start out with but a cool, dreary, rainy day. I'm actually thrilled because she is still sleeping. It's 8:00, and that is unheard of for her. I'm sure it is because her room is dark and quiet - those are the best mornings to just stay in bed.

I made this card earlier this week for two challenges. Over at the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge Blog, the challenge this week was to "Say it Out Loud" and use a sentiment on your card. And I combined that with as many items from the new Desert Island Crafter's Challenge that I could! Here's what I got on there from the Queen's Itinerary: Fairytale, Ribbon, Crown Jewels, Horse and Carriage (well, I got the carriage), Prince Charming, and Princess Bride.  6 out of 10 - not bad!

My image is from Pixie Dust Studio, and it's really half an image from the British Invasion collection.  i took the Royal Wedding image (which would have worked fine for this challenge at the DICC) and cut out the Prince. I opted instead for adding a bit of patterned paper that had the words Prince Charming on it and make this card all about the Princess Bride!

For my article I made a couple of tags, and this was one, using Stampendous stamps, of them. I actually made a whole bunch of these, in various color schemes - they are so handy to have around! Paired with some girlie twirlie Hello Sunshine paper and an adorable So Random sentiment, I think my little cutie is going to love this lunchbox love note! She's always telling me I should color more blonde-haired girls - which for her means all yellow hair. I'm happy to oblige!

I'm super busy working on cards for Stampendous that I can't show you just yet, but I took a few minutes last night to whip up an all purpose card for my stash. I try to keep a full basket of these cards around, so that when I inevitably need a last minute card it's all done! On this one, I used the Stampendous clear set Poppy Bottles. I know, I know - poppies are supposed to be red. But I was in the mood for yellow!

Ok, back to the craft table before I get busted for being on the computer! Have an amazing Friday :)

Lush Monochromatic Trio

This is my second post today - are you here for Korin's birthday blog hop?

It's time for a Design Team challenge over at Claudia and Company, and this week we were challenged to make something monochromatic with the gorgeous Lush papers. I needed some gift enclosure cards, and the scrumptious flocked paper was perfect for them. I paired it with a bit of ivory wrinkled ribbon, and made a whole bunch of these cute little 3x3 notecards :) With paper this gorgeous, I figured I wouldn't try to take away from it with stamps, lol!

Be sure to check out the Claudia and Company blog to see what the other designers made - everyone used a different color from the Lush line! And check out these new additions from the store:

Poppies & Butterflies

The beautiful and talented Korin Sutherland, owner of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, is celebrating her birthday today! And what better way to show her some love than a birthday blog hop? The Sweet 'n Sassy Divas came together today for Korin's birthday because we love and adore her SO darn much!!I can honestly say that Korin is one of the sweetest, most genuine people I have ever had the pleasure of "meeting", and I am SO lucky I get to work with her!

I made Korin a card using the ever-versatile Poppies & Greetings set. The set comes with a happy birthday sentiment, but I instead opted for a larger (but still elegant) one from the new Happy Birthdays clear stamp set.

So Very Sorry

I'm trying to get caught up from my sick week last week - wow I have so much to do! I'm still not feeling 100%, but I'll take any improvement I can get. I sat down this weekend and made a few cards, the first of which is this one, using a new single released by Lizzie Anne Designs. It's called So Very Sorry, and I love it. I don't have any other sentiment stamps in my enormous collection that even come close to this one - I love the uniqueness.

I used last week's Lizzie Anne Designs sketch challenge from Pam for the card, and paired it with some Cosmo Cricket Social Club paper and buttons. Quick and easy!

New Releases for Claudia and Company

Claudia and Company is releasing four darling new digital images today! They are available for purchase as a set. I'm going to show you two cards I made with a couple of these sweet spring scenes!

My first card features Lily Bee's Lovely paper, giving the whole thing a bright springy feel. I love the blues and greens from this line!

My second card is a bit darker, but still springy. I used Basic Grey's Pyrus paper and glazed brads to go with this image.

Wouldn't you love a chance to win this set of images? Claudia will be giving away a set to one blog hop commenter; you just need to leave a comment at every stop along the way by Sunday, April 3rd (see the list below). Good luck!
